Register to Vote
If you still haven’t registered to vote, there is time to register in order to vote in the General Election. The last day to register to vote in the November General Election is October 9.

Our speaker for September 29 meeting will be Major Andrea Pitruzzella, USAF,, Chief of Public Affairs at 914th Airlift Wing, Niagara Falls Reserve Station. Andrea will update us on what she has been doing since we last heard her speak two years ago on Women in the Military--and that has been a lot! She is a very interesting speaker and we look forward to hearing her speak again.

Grand Island Chapter presents scholarship to Amy Gilmore Smith

President Diane Dinsmore said that a new scholarship that the Grand Island Professional Women’s Chapter will award each year will be to an adult woman from Grand Island who is either returning to college, a trade school or continuing education.

Raising the Minimum Wage

Raising the minimum wage is an issue of vital importance to women. Women make up a large percentage of those who earn the minimum wage.

Region 2 will hold their Fall Meeting in Staten Island.
Primary Election Day
Thursday, September 10, 2015 is primary election day. Go vote! Most of the races this year are for local legislative offices such as the county legislature, county executive, etc. There will be one special election for one statewide Senate seat this year in the Binghamton, NY area.
