Status of the Legislation

The New York State Senate and State Assembly passed a comprehensive package of bills aimed at protecting victims of Sex Slave Trafficking. The Assembly on March 16 passed a six-point package of anti-human-trafficking legislation splitting off a bill, A.506, from the Women's Equality Agenda that passed separately in 2013 and 2014 by the Senate but passed as a point of the omnibus women's equality bill package by the Assembly.
