I know … it isn’t January and I certainly don’t want to rush the cold and snow, but we are starting our new year with New York State Women and it’s a time to start fresh! It’s a time to make plans, to set goals and resolutions, … a time to get moving!

Every one of us has a story! Everyone has a journey, we invite you to let your voice be heard and tell your story to inspire others. If you have a personal achievement, a professional change or giving your voice to a political issue plaguing our society. We want to hear you and support you!!!

Illinois became the 37th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment on Wednesday, May 30. This places the Constitutional Amendment one state short of the states needed to be added to the Constitution.

This Amendment states that equality of rights “shall not be denied by the U. S. or any state on account of sex.”
