Find Your Voice

Author: Communications Committee/Sunday, June 16, 2019/Categories: General

Every one of us has a story! Everyone has a journey, we invite you to let your voice be heard and tell your story to inspire others. If you have a personal achievement, a professional change or giving your voice to a political issue plaguing our society. We want to hear you and support you!!! We will help you every step of the journey to finding your voice!! A bonus you can win $500, $300 or $200 and the best part is you attend state conference and network with an amazing group of women that give you a voice!!!!

I competed in the personal development category at the 2018 conference and the experience was life changing. I was supported by the PPD committee member Robin Allen from start to finish. I found my voice!! I had such amazing support from the women of NYSWI and it has allowed me to grow personally. I have entered the political arena and have taken on being Treasurer for a District Attorney campaign in Chenango County. I currently am putting together a 5k to honor a young girl that lost her life due to domestic violence to give her a voice!!

Outside of the PPD competition to be a breakout session during conference we would like to hear from seasoned members. We are looking for women that want to share their NYSWI experience and how the organization impacted their lives personally, professionally and politically.

The PPD committee is looking to visit regions and chapter meetings and support and help women around the state find their voice! Contact Patti Pollock, PPD Chair at [email protected] to schedule a committee member to visit your region or chapter and let’s make this a memorable year of women’s voices being heard!
