CDO Offers Scholarships and Grants

The NYS Career Development Opportunities, Inc is pleased to announce the offering of monetary scholarships/grants to assist NYS Women with their career related studies, education, and/or training and related costs.

Raising the Minimum Wage

Raising the minimum wage is an issue of vital importance to women. Women make up a large percentage of those who earn the minimum wage.

2016 Grace LeGendre Endowment Fund Special Grants Program

Applications are welcomed for NYS Women Inc. Local Chapters, Regions, State President, or State Executive Committee as well as from other organizations whose mission statement is consistent with the purpose of the Endowment Fund.

Message from New President

Its hard to believe I was just installed as your NYS Women Inc President. Thank you to everyone for all your words of encouragement and support. I get asked all the time why NYSW when there are so many business organizations out there. The answer to this question is different for each one of us but for me – mentoring, networking, personal/professional development, friendships, are words that come to mind. It is by far the best organization I am part of.

Chadwick Bay Scholarship Honorees

Chadwick Bay Chapter of NYS Women Inc. met on May 19th at the Fireside Manor to award our scholarships to non-traditional students. We were pleased to present Jacquelyn Sasso, of Fredonia and Kamie Fields of Dunkirk with $750 certificates. These scholarships are made possible by the Getaway Weekend held this past March at the Clarion Hotel.

Women’s Day at the NYS Fair - Sept 2nd

Women’s Day at the Fair is an opportunity for members of NYS Women, Inc. to network and share our mission. The days luncheon  speaker is US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

The 6th Annual NYS Women Inc Conference is scheduled for May 29-31, 2015 in Buffalo NY. Learn our accomplishments for this year and goals for next year. You’ll become re-vitalized; when you return to your chapter, plan on accomplishing great things!
