2021 CWV Women Veteran Trailblazers 2.0 Initiative
The Center for Women Veterans is accepting nominations of women Veterans to highlight them as Veteran Trailblazers for 2021. CWV has defined women Veteran Trailblazers as a woman who has served and separated from the service who makes an impact by enhancing the lives of Veterans, their families, caregivers, or survivors. The submission deadline is January 12, 2021.
Is there woman Veteran in your Chapter or community that could quality? One of President Shellman’s 20-21 President’s Initiative is participation in an event as part of the Athena Military Women’s Initiative. A nomination submission by your Chapter would surely fit the bill. Below is some info from CWV on the Initiative & a sampling of the form you can find online.
Impact may be a single event or action or may be demonstrated over a period of time in one or more of the following areas:
- Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Homelessness, Legal, Mental Health and Wellness
Nomination Procedures/Please submit all requested materials.
- Nominee’s recent professional (looking) photo
- A one-page summary of why the women Veteran meets the definition above of a Trailblazer and how she is continuing to serve others.
Deadline for the 2021 Center for Women Veteran Trailblazers 2.0 Initiative is Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Nominations received after this deadline will not be considered.
The nominee must have been honorably discharged. Previously selected Trailblazers will not be considered.
