This month’s membership question is:  Do guests want to join?  Do you create a welcoming environment? And the tip (or tips – lots of them) come from the workshop at the board meeting in Waterloo.  At the workshop we discussed the benefits of membership, what made our Chapter special, promoting our chapter, creating and keeping a current and informative Facebook page and the do’s and don’ts of a meeting. 

Here are a few of the do’s – a full list of all the ideas from the workshop will be in the next NIKE.  Look for it - - the ideas were great!

How do we create a welcoming environment? - - DO:

1. Have a greeter
2. Have a guest book: get contact information and follow up with guests
3. Have name tags
4. Make everyone feel welcome
5. Introduce yourself, invite a guest to sit with you
6. Put on  a positive face

The Don’ts were equally informative.  Look for those and other ideas from the workshop in the next NIKE.
