| Description of Presentation |
This is a talk designed for those who may feel stuck, unmotivated, or unsure if they're on the right path. Many times, we as women tend to do the things we do because they pay well, or we've been doing them for so long, or because our degree dictates that we do this job. But often, we may not love our job or our path, and the life and light seem to dim every day. This talk is designed to reflect on where we've been and where we truly want to go, and to determine if we are on the right path. Goals can change over time, and we can learn to reset our path to attain the new goals. |

I am a former teacher, and I ran my own professional Janitorial business (April Fresh Cleaning, Inc.) for 26 years. I also hiked the Appalachian Trail as a single 28-year-old, after a failed attempt two years before. I wrote "Trail Gimp, Self Discovery and Empowerment on The Appalachian Trail," published in 2023, a motivational and inspirational book about my hikes and how they impacted my life. My mission as a Speaker is to help people, especially women, discover that their paths can change over the years, and it's okay to pivot, change your mind, and pursue everything you want in life, whatever that may be. |
