Author: Communications Committee/Saturday, October 5, 2013/Categories: General

The Richmond County chapter awarded scholarships to women returning to school to further their career or pursue a new one. Pictured are chapter President Gale Cohen, winners Dana Rachlin and Nanine Iengo Blomstrom and Scholarship Chair Roberta Hayes. Dana Rachlin is returning to school to get a certificate in fundraising from NYU.  She wishes to begin a non-profit to raise the funds needed to create and implement meaningful service learning projects for at risk youth.  Dana was the Career Recognition winner at the 2012 Conference.  Nanine Iengo Blomstrom works as a Special Ed Teacher, and ABA Therapist and Coordinator.  She decided to go back to school specializing in general and holistic nutrition after working with children who have autism, ADD, ADHD and other neurological and sensory issues. Nanine was able to make a correlation between what her student’s were eating and the severity of their disease.
