Albany, New York – New York State Women, Inc. held their Annual Conference June 3, 4 and 5, 2011 at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Albany, New York. Alisha Gould of Sherburne, New York became the First Candidate and was awarded First Place in the New York State Women, Inc. New Careerist Speech Program. The Program recognizes the accomplishments of women between the ages of 21 and 32 who have been employed full time for a minimum of one year in their career area and provides them with professional development skills and opportunities. The competition involves a competitive selection process within Local, District and State Competition. Selection is based upon written and biographical information, judge interviews, group interaction, the Candidates ability to help others achieve and a prepared speech competition on specifically chosen topics. Ms. Gould’s prepared speech answered the question, “If you were chosen to speak to a group of younger women, what personal experience would you share and why?”

Ms. Gould is a member of New York State Women, Inc., Norwich. She studied Business Administration and Management at State University of New York at Plattsburgh and is currently employed in media marketing. She is additionally a member of Commerce Chenango and S-E Pee Wee Wrestling Club.
